Restrictions: Must have picture ID and ID for children (can use SS card); Can only shop for yourself and/or for your dependent children. Visits are limited to once a month for each person/family.
Services: Provides free articles of clothing. The number of articles provided depends on SFBFS' current supply.

Services: Offers free art classes for women who are in need of assistance in healing from mental illness, violence, and/or other physical, mental, and social obstacles; provides an opportunity for clients to display and sell their artwork to the public.

PlayCare
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Restrictions: Parent/legal guardian must attend Community Learning Center or must be in SFBFS' Havens Transitional Housing Program. Child(ren) must be at least one year old and walking. Copy of birth certificate must be provided. Orientation is mandatory.
Services: Provides a safe, fun, and educational environment for children 1 - 5 years old. All activities are carefully designed to enhance the emotional, cognitive, social, and motor skill development of the children.
After-School Program
Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.
Restrictions: Families must reside in the Oak Park area. Children must be enrolled in 1st through 6th grade. A copy of the child's last report card must be provided.
Services: A caring, safe environment for young children that stimulates their educational and personal development. Also, offering one-on-one tutoring for parents and children in any school subject, use of computers and internet resources for older children, Spanish/English bilingual tutoring available.

Services: Is a three-stage program designed to help families with children create a stable and loving home and become economically independent; provides housing, education, and social services to families who are ready to commit themselves to making a full-time effort toward permanently changing and improving their lives.

Volunteering

Hours: Varying - Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. & Sunday 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Restrictions: Must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer. Individuals aged 16-18 must have parental permission and youth ages 10-15 may volunteer if accompanied by a guardian. Individuals looking to fulfill hours for court ordered purposes may not volunteer at the SFBFS.
Services: Volunteer opportunities encompass a wide range including mentoring youth or adults, teaching, sorting and distributing clothing, filling and distributing emergency groceries, staffing fundraising events and much more! Volunteers are offered activities that include direct interaction with our clients or opportunities that are detached from the public. We strive to place volunteers where they are comfortable and are able to receive personal fulfillment knowing they have helped make a difference in their community. Volunteer opportunities are available at all three SFBFS locations, year round.
