Building Bridges, One at a Time
The foundation of SFBFS is our Senior Bridge Builder volunteers. The average Bridge Builder has been volunteering for over ten years, many of whom started with Father Dan Madigan during the early and founding years of the organization. SFBFS’ programs have grown and expanded into many different family oriented services. Our ability to expand and provide quality goods and services is due in large part to our senior volunteers. To date, our Senior Bridge Builders make up a base of over two hundred dedicated and passionate volunteers. These generous volunteers help out in all program areas and have each donated hundreds and/or thousands of hours to our mission.

Aside from volunteering in our programs, the Senior Bridge Builders are also know for helping put together our 10,000 piece newsletter mailing every 2 nd Tuesday of the month (Bridge Builder Mailing); and organizing and attending a fun and informative luncheon every 3 rd Tuesday of the month (Bridge Builder Luncheon). All in all, our Senior Bridge Builders’ hard work and determination have helped give tens of thousands of families a “hand up” in our society.
