How Donations are Used
Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services uses cash donations to purchase items for individuals in need.
Due to the great partnerships with local vendors, SFBFS is able to leverage funds to turn every $1 donated into $10 worth of products and services for the Sacramento community.
Great examples of how your donations help families in need:
$10 = 20 articles of clothing for 5 people (Clothing program)
$20 = 5 day supply of quality, healthy groceries for 4 families of 4 members each (Food Assistance program)
$50 = 8 classes of art education for 4 students (Women’s Wisdom Art program)
$100 = parenting workshops, infant formula, diapers, and clothing for 4 sets of parents and their infants (Mother-Baby program)
$500 - 1 week of technology-based after school activities for 15 children (Computer Clubhouse program)
